Community Grief: Churches, Changes, and Where Have All the Young People Gone?

When: June 7, 2023, 4:15 pm - Wednesday

Where: Yarnton

Session 2

Session Abstract

This roundtable session dives into the ongoing changes all faith communities are experiencing.  Presenters will name the reality of loss and grief by those in traditional churches experiencing challenges and changes, the ongoing spiritual faith crisis of Christians who look for security and community, the role of chaplains who often interact with non-affiliated but spiritually minded people, and the first-person narrative of one who now identifies as “spiritual but not religious.”  This front page centering topic impacts our view of God and spirituality, and what trajectories God is providing for hearing God’s voice and leadership beyond the traditional practices and beliefs of the past.
