Chapter 16: CSC is “Telling the Truth—with Hospitality”
July 16, 2012
Author Beth Waltenmath captures the "friendly seriousness to the people, panels, and surroundings" of the CSC. She explains what makes the CSC so unique. "It's a stereotype: Southerners are good at hospitality in part because we are so good at glossing over the truth," she writes. She concludes, "This year's Christian Scholars' Conference made great strides in adding truth-telling to a long tradition of Southern hospitality." See the full story in Chapter 16 here.
