Cinema is a transdisciplinary learning space and its capacity to engender rich religious and theological reflection is a boon to every discipline. Together, attendees will explore cinematic language and techniques, how to analyze narrative films. Film form is central to developing narrative meaning. This session will explore fundamental elements of cinematic language, conventions by which films communicate with the audience, and art-based pedagogical approaches toward exploring movies and meaning.
