Pursuing A Livable World: A Poetry Reading

When: June 10, 2021, 9:00 am - Thursday

Where: Ezell 232

Session 3

Session Abstract

Heather Hoover’s poems explore what it means to live an embodied life that honors all other types of embodied life—from the microscopic mycelial communities to our own. Nova Scotia poet Christopher Snook will reflect on “home” and “nature” as ciphers for ultimate encounters with the Good. Allison Boyd Justus will excavate intersectional perspectives on destructive and redemptive partnerships and will reflect on prayer and sacrifice as central to the soul’s partnership with God. Nancy Posey will explore her North Alabama roots of simple faith and strong ties to the farmlands and rivers.
