Session Abstract

Christian higher education must adapt and respond to adequately prepare students for a rapidly changing world. Graduates will inhabit a knowledge economy requiring skills and dispositions very different from ones required in the age of industry. This demands innovative, relevant, and flexible courses that develop vital knowledge and capabilities, moving from traditional, teacher-centered instruction to evidence-based, student-centered instruction. This roundtable will discuss faith-based institutions’ role in preparing students for life after college and give an overview of innovative teaching practices at our respective institutions.
